Petrol in Diesel Car
Putting Petrol in a Diesel car is a very easy mistake to commit these days. In the UK, several people accidently put Petrol in their Diesel cars by mistake each day. With the boom in more Diesel cars in the UK, these mistakes have kept on increasing with each passing day.
To combat that, one must have a remedy to fix that issue so that his car can be on the road in a short time period. This is where those companies which offer draining and repairing of engines come into play. We'll discuss that later but for now, it is important to know the reason why people put Petrol in their Diesel cars.
Why People Put Petrol in their Diesel Cars?
The primary culprit for putting Petrol in a Diesel rather than putting diesel in petrol is the nozzle. When a person reaches the gas station and picks the nozzle, the Diesel nozzle is bigger than the Petrol nozzle. So, Diesel nozzle isn't getting inside a car which has a Petrol engine but a smaller nozzle can enter a bigger nozzle. So, people make this mistake quite often and realize later on that they've inserted the Petrol nozzle in their Diesel tank, which is hazardous for their Diesel car.
The other reason for inserting Petrol in a Diesel tank is rinsing. Several people believe that putting a small amount of Petrol in their Diesel cars will rinse the engine parts from grease. So, they deliberately put Petrol in their Diesel cars to cleanse it from grease and other impurities.
